On November 7, 2017, the Friends of Civil War Paulding, Inc., moved to cease as an organization as of 31 December 2017. The remaining treasury funds were donated to General William J. Hardee Camp #1397, Inc., a non-profit organization, whose purpose is in line with the goals of FOCWPC: "Dedicated to the Preservation of Civil War Sites In Paulding County, Georgia, In Honor of ALL Men Who Fought and Died Here and for Current and Future Generations".
From Eddie Casey, who speaks for all of us: "We have met many friends through this organization and we all appreciate the support you have given us and the Friends Group over the years. From each of us to all of you "Thank You Very Much!"
